Mountain Skills Academy

The Mountain Skills Academy (MSA) provides specially designed courses for mountain skills instruction in Rock Climbing, Alpine Climbing, Ice/Mixed Climbing, Backcountry Skiing, Mountaineering and Mountain Safety.

The MSA Course Curriculum was designed through an international collaboration of certified guides. The MSA is an international alliance of mountain schools (MSA Providers), each representing a specific geographical area.

Hallmarks of the program include Guide Mentoring Technique, Fast Paced Instruction, and Low Participant to Guide Ratio, Building Block Modules, and Essential Situational Environment. These practices place MSA on the cutting edge of mountain skills instruction.

Participants will achieve the highest levels of skill proficiency and independence possible. Courses are accredited and come with an internationally recognized certificate of achievement.
